About Our Institute

Peringathur Institute of Teacher Education was established in 11th October 2004 was an aim of providing chances in the field of teacher education in the rural areas which are educationally much backward. The Institute in run by Peringathur Daras Yatheemkhana Committee which is a charitable Institution. In a total area of 3acres owned by the committee 2111.30cm2 are used to build the institution Building work will complete on 05-07-2007.

The institution is on its way of development with objective of producing ideal teachers with novel ideas to cope up with the need of the society. The institute is a co-education institution and it is applied for minority status. It is a self-financed Institution.

The institute is situated in Thalassery taluk and in Panoor Municipality . Nearest Railway stations are Thalassery and Mahe and nearest towns are Thalassery and Mahe.

We conducts Elementary level courses. We conducts Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) which has a duration of 2 years 4 Semesters is affiliated to NCTE.
